About us
Awakened Labs
Awakened Labs Inc. is a Delaware C corporation based in Gilbert, Arizona. We build software for the moment an agent stops being a demo and starts being handed real authority. Our first product is Ennius.
Why we exist
Agents got useful faster than they got accountable.
The tools arrived able to write code, touch infrastructure and act on your behalf. The questions of what they were allowed to touch, and what they would be able to tell you afterwards, were left for later.
We spent our careers on the other side of those questions. In a carrier network, a change nobody can explain is not a discussion, it is an outage, and the discipline that grew up around that is unglamorous and load-bearing: least privilege, an audit trail, and a way to say exactly what happened and on whose authority.
Awakened Labs exists to bring that discipline to agentic AI without giving up what makes agents worth using. Our bet is that accountability is not a tax on capability, but the thing that lets you safely grant more of it.
What we build
Ennius, in plain terms.
Modern AI agents do more than answer questions. They run commands, edit files, call other services, and make changes that outlast the conversation. To do any of that an agent needs somewhere to run — a layer that decides what it is allowed to touch, holds what it has learned, and keeps a record of what it did. That layer is called a harness. Ennius is ours.
Most harnesses are built around what an agent can do. Ennius is built around what it should be allowed to do, and what it can account for afterwards.
Where this is going: you should be able to hand an agent real credentials, walk away, and come back to an account of what it did — not a summary the agent wrote about itself, but a record the system kept whether or not the agent cooperated. You should be able to say what it may never touch, once, and have that hold three delegations deep. And when it learns something about how you work, that should belong to you — a file you can open, read, and take somewhere else.
Four properties get us there — authority that is explicit and narrows, a memory that is a ledger rather than a bucket, a ledger that is a file on your own disk, and an account of what was done that the system keeps whether or not the agent cooperates. Where any of them conflicts with a capability, the capability gives way.

We are early, and the most useful conversations we have are with people already thinking about what it takes to let an agent work unattended.
